Interested in Practicing Your Fitness and Language?

Why do you want to combine running with English?

Running or fast walking improves our fitness & surprisingly helps us improve our language skills. It ‘temporarily tones’ down activity in the brain & gives us fresh insights & waves of creativity. You adopt a different style of thinking. No evidence exists for this explanation, but its definitely the way forward… This is why combining English & Running is a logical but innovative way to learn & practice a language.

Gniezno has a beautiful lake called Wenecja, which I ran around some 10 years ago, when I was on holiday from the UK.
Fast forward 10 years, I now live in this city with my family & love this spot.
The new Urban Zone has been a fantastic addition to the space & this can be a cool starting point.
Let’s meet each week at the Urban Zone, let’s just unwind, speak freely, & go for a run.

Participants’ opinions

I think that the EnglishRunning is great way to improve our English skills, just by speaking and running at the same time. It’s a perfect combination of effortless running and speaking with each other. The topics comes up automatically when we run or during the exercises. In my opinion there is a very natural way to improve speaking skills. There is also great opportunity to improve our condition and spend a great time on the fresh air.

We can observe our progress week by week in both areas English speaking and improving our running form.

That two activities have a lot in common and required from us similar approach, like a regularity, repeating and practice. Thus that combination works perfectly.

Our last challenges were hard for me but on the other hand is was a huge motivation for me to run. I’ve never managed so many km in one month before. You remember well what I said at the beginning our last challenge (199 km)… My first think was : OMG, It is to many km in too short time, I can’t do it. But I signed up and started running. After 2 weeks and many trennig sessions I believed that it is possible and even more, I can win !!!. When I finished the last 22 km I wanted to have a longer break and while resting I thought – maybe this is a good oportunity to run my first marathon… One week later i manged 42,195 km. I was and I’m still jubilant because the marathon was my dream from about 2 years. Everytime when I thought about marathon I was afraid pain and fatigue. I want to say that challenges with Richard S. and lessons with him were the main reason to managed the marathon.
